My passion for building began as a teenager working for a local contractor doing custom finish carpentry. It quickly became more than a job for me. I receive a great amount of fulfillment from the complete process from strategy, execution, and completion of a project. Shortly after I was married in my 20’s I began my pursuit in the building industry through starting my own business. I specialized in high end finish carpentry and loved seeing the transformations that we were able to accomplish on so many different projects. This quickly grew into much more as one of our clients asked me to run the construction management portion of their business. This provided me with many real-life business management experiences, while still running my finish carpentry business. These hands on experiences early in my career provided a solid foundation for the future of Millbrook Builders.
History.
Values.
My values of strong work ethics were cultivated at a young age as I spent many hours working with my grandfather in the yard on many different projects. He taught me many lessons as we worked side by side. I feel my attention to detail began when I was taught that the lines in the grass need to be straight and even when mowing the lawn at an age where I could barely reach the handle and the mower was not self propelled. He would say, “it is as easy to do it right as it is to do it wrong”. This statement from my grandfather ingrained in me the value of doing it right the first time and the satisfaction that comes from a job well done.
Mission
My mission is to provide each client with an exceptional building experience based on quality construction practices, competitive pricing, and superior customer service. To maintain the highest level of professionalism while working with clients, trade contractors, and suppliers. To have open and straightforward communication throughout all phases of construction, that will foster long lasting strong, trusting relationships, resulting in a truly rewarding building experience for all.
